Wolves and Kempton Wednesday (16/1, 11/2, 9/1 & 11/1!)
2 selections each for Wolves and Kempton
Today we’re mostly focusing on two trainers exhibiting good form on the all weather Phil McEntee and Tony Carroll who both send runners to Kempton and Wolves respectively.
Lets hope I’ve picked the right ones!
12:20 Wolves
Pilot Wings
As noted trainer Tony Carroll in decent form.
Pilot Wings is a course and distance winner and serial placer which is helpful as at Wolves the extended 9 furlongs is a quite unique test and not for every horse.
The champion apprentice Marco Ghiani takes the ride.
Odds: 16/1 Betfair Exchange with some on the place @ 4.3
11/1 (E/W generally with bookies).
15:35 Wolves
Hooves Like Jagger
Another runner for Tony Carroll who is in good order.
Hooves Like Jagger has been disappointing on the all weather but is a fair sort and 14 furlongs would appear to be ideal for him based on his run at Southwell.
Hollie Doyle takes the ride and she can usually get the job done.
Odds: 7.4 Betfair Exchange (11/2 generally)
18:00 Kempton
Bobby on the Beat (by Bobby’s Kitten).
As noted trainer Phil McEntee is in good form with several winners over the last month.
Bobby’s Kitten is a fantastic sire to follow on the all weather and Bobby on the Beat is a course winner in the right grade.
Callum Shep takes the ride who has a good record for McEntee (11/65 and a +£45 profit to level stakes which is quite good!).
Odds: 9/1 *Betfair Exchange) or 7/1 generally with bookies.
18:30 Kempton
Second Kingdom (by Make Believe).
Second Kingdom made a pleasing enough debut placing at Wolves but failed to back that up on his subsequent start.
He only cost £1,000 but Make Believe has proven to be a a really useful value sire to follow so could potentially go well here at a bit of a price and of course if he can show his form from debut.
Odds: 11/1 E/W (w/ Boylesports and Best Odds Guaranteed).
Good luck.
