While everyone’s attention i.e most punters will be on Royal Ascot we’ve been busy studying the other meetings and their Maiden/Novice races.

13:05 Thirsk

Magnolia State by Kodiac for Richard Fahey.

Magnolia cost £72k and finished 2nd last time out and is taking a drop in class here.

Fahey has a good record in Thirsk Novice races (4/19) and and we think she should be able to win this race.

16:30 Thirsk

Tromso by Twilight Son cost £130k and is well related for Kevin Ryan.

Tromso looks to be improving managing to place last time out over 7 furlongs and we're hopeful he can go close here.

Ryan's juveniles are running ok at present so we're backing him to overturn the odds-on favourite.

Slightly concerned about the Haggas runner (Yojaari) so we suggest a cover bet (a few pounds) on him just in case.
