Two selections at Chepstow and Newcastle
13:20 Maiden Hurdle
This is an interesting race. The top two in the betting are both by the sire Sholokhov however one is trained by Paul Nicholls (Mr Glass) and one trained by Harry Fry (Fishkhov).
Mr Glass is a debutant over hurdles while Fishkhov has some experience.
They both cost a few quid and both trainers are in decent form.
There could be considerable value in backing Fry’s here and doing a forecast with Nicholls who is odds-on to protect the stake.
Fishkhov Win (7.4 on Betfair)
Mr Glass 1st - Fishkhov 2nd (Forecast): Pays around 5/2. Cover your stake.
Lightening Company by Fast Company who is a decent sire on the All Weather for the in-form Ben Haslam stable.
Useful sort who is up against a filly debutant. He’s already a winner and even giving weight the experience could prove crucial here.
Odds: 7/1 (Bet365).
