Chelmsford Thursday (20/1 NAP & 25/1 Next Best!)
2 selections from Chelmsford and their 20/1 & 25/1!
Trainer Michael Herrington is in some form on the all weather which we have highlighted before.
This is the stable responsible for Thaayer who ran a cracker placed 2nd @ 40/1 for the Newsletter just before Christmas and also backed that up by placing again the other day at Newcastle.
Herrington has two big priced runners in BOTH divisions of the Class 6 Handicaps at Chelmsford on Thursday.
Both are completely out of form and on basement marks but are running in terrible races. They probably also have the best sires in their races.
17:30 Chelmsford
The Game Of Life (by Oasis Dream). (Next Best).
The Game Of Life at least has winning form over the course and distance albeit a while ago now.
His current form is poor although probably retains the best pedigree/sire in the race along with the trainer being in red hot form.
Jockey Connor Beasley also happens to be good round here.
Odds: 25/1 (b365 E/W w/ Best Odds Guaranteed).
Straight Forecast (for a few pounds) with likely favourite Macs Dilemma.
18:00 Chelmsford
Edessann (by Lope De Vega). (NAP).
Edessann also in poor form. In fact he’s described as “regressive” by Timeform since making the switch from Ireland to Herrington.
He’s stepped up in trip here to 7 furlongs having ran over sprint distances and sports the hood/headgear for the first time.
His sire over the course and distance is 10/49 +£29 profit to a level stake which is very healthy.
Jockey Connor Beasley again takes the ride and his record is very good at the course.
Odds: 20/1 (b365 w/ Best Odds Guaranteed).
Extra places available with Sky and Corals but Best Odds Guaranteed is important for these.
Good luck.
